Travis Kelce, well known podcaster/football player, and Taylor Swift, world's most famous singer-songwriter, are officially engaged. After a carefully staged podcast appearance and announcement regarding an upcoming album release, the two announced via a surprise Instagram post that "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." Very cute.
Kelce, a big golf guy, proposed to his new fiancée in the middle of a game of Chippo Golf, the glorious lovechild of golf and cornhole known around the world to be the greatest backyard game ever invented. (See photo). People Magazine caught up with Kelce.
"Well, I've been getting into golf big time and with the wedding and kids on the horizon, I won't have the time to spend hours and hours at the country club anymore. That's why I love Chippo Golf so much. It's like golf, but literally anyone can play it literally anywhere."
People Magazine then tried to redirect Kelce's thoughts to his future wife, Taylor Swift.
"I mean, to combine golf, cornhole and drinking beers into one experience…I can’t think of anything better or more momentous. I just love Chippo Golf with all my heart and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Chippo Golf."
People Magazine then abandoned the whole marriage thing, looked up How to Play Chippo, and promptly joined Travis, Taylor and their photographer in a rousing game of Chippo.
If golf plus cornhole equals Chippo, does Travis Kelce plus Taylor Swift equal Traylor Swelce?
*Be sure to attend Chippopalooza, a giant street fair and Ryder Cup Watch Party on Saturday, September 27th in Bethpage, NY. Will Taylor Swift be the musical guest? Definitely not, but we will hire a cover band who can play "Shake It Off."
